The impulses behind the venture are many, but two stand out. One is the decorative arts movement. The Wiener Werkstätte, whose approach has been a constant reference point for Alberto Alessi over the years. Founded in 1903, the \"Vienna Workshop\" involved many of the most gifted artists of the period. Working side by side with the craftspeople, they\u003cbr\u003ecreated exquisite, sophisticated artifacts. The second main impulse behind Il Tornitore Matto is Alice\u003cbr\u003ein Wonderland, a world in which the rules are crazy. This refers to the freedom of the design from the typical constraints of industrial production to give rein to human creativity.\u003cbr\u003eThis first chapter of a manufacturing adventure, aimed at poetic technique, involved nine designers, including Iacchetti. Each element in the collection is marked with the year of production and a sequential number.
