Winged corkscrew - Parade

Arthur Arbesser’s new design for Anna G. and
Alessandro M. reflects his unmistakable style, which
combines the influences of the art and architecture of his hometown of Vienna with a modern
sensibility. In his personal interpretation of the attire of the
two famous corkscrews, Arbesser focuses on clean
lines and unexpected colour combinations, which are
also hallmarks of his collections. The result is attire that is both visually striking and
structurally interesting. A fascinating shift of attire that
links the world of design with the original expression
of one of the most interesting, talented designers of
contemporary fashion.

The Anna G. corkscrew is an ironic tribute to a real
woman and a true “design portrait”. Having become
a cult figure over the years, it has been reinterpreted
by Arthur Arbesser, who refined its design with a skilful
juxtaposition of colourful backgrounds.

The corkscrews are made up of a body in AlkiPaper®
biocomposite, decorated with a hand-applied decal
and housing a lever mechanism made of chromed
zamac and rolled steel.

Zamak is a zinc-based alloy that, in its production process,
does not release any substances into the environment that could cause pollution. The alloy’s low melting
point also allows for significant energy savings, helping
to limit the exploitation of natural resources further downstream.
AlkiPaper® is a patented biocomposite based on paper, other raw materials
of natural origin and functional components. Although it has similar processing characteristics to plastic, it is designed to decompose under controlled conditions
at the end of its life, making it a more sustainable alternative to conventional
plastics.
The metal parts and nylon elements can be easily disassembled so that
the materials can be recycled.

Place the corkscrew on the neck of the bottle, making sure the levers are
down.
Screw into the cork by turning the head clockwise and allowing the levers to rise to the vertical
position.
Push the levers down to extract the cork from the bottle.
Remove the cork from the steel screw by holding the levers down and turning
the head anti-clockwise. The final step can be made easier by lifting the levers.

We recommend using a damp cloth or sponge with a liquid detergent.
We advise against using the dishwasher for cleaning. Contemporary detergents and
additives and the high temperatures reached during the washing cycle can cause
irreversible damage to the surface finish of the product.

In specific environmental conditions, some parts of this product may show
signs of oxidation. In these cases, any traces can be removed with a soft cloth and
a specific non-abrasive cleaning product, which can normally be found in shops.
