The “All-Time Favorites” collection presents a series of small but representative objects from the “Twergi” collection, created in 1989 from the desire to revive the ancient tradition of turning, typical of the region where Alessi operates. The name “twergi,” meaning “elf,” comes from the dialect spoken in the nearby valleys. In their interactions with people, twergi alternately caused misfortunes and offered help, teaching people how to use wood and other forest resources.

AN OBJECT, ITS POWER, ITS POETRY
Discontinued at the beginning of the new millennium, the Ercolino bottle opener returns with all the elegance of lines faithfully reproduced anew. Ercolino is an example of Andrea Branzi’s happy relationship with the expressive potential of turned wood, which, in his opinion, is one of the best materials for creating objects with which to build not only functional but also psychological, symbolic, and poetic connections.

Composed of a turned birch wood handle, in which a stainless steel bottle opener is embedded.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
*Easy opening of bottles with metal and crown caps.
