Alessandro M. corkscrew made of AlkiPaper® biocomposite and chrome-plated zamak alloy.

To celebrate the iconic pair of corkscrews designed by her father Alessandro, Fulvia Mendini imagined a fairy tale in an oak forest where two figures dance in an endless quest for desires and secrets. The result is two new outfits reminiscent of Christmas trees (AM01A 7 and AM23A 32), two eye-catching designs that highlight the soft and delicate design of these iconic corkscrews.

Zamak is a zinc-based alloy that does not release any polluting substances into the environment during the production process. The alloy's low melting point also allows for significant energy savings, helping to limit the exploitation of natural resources further down the line.
AlkiPaper® is a patented paper-based biocomposite, other natural raw materials and functional components. Although it has similar processing properties to plastic, it is designed to degrade under controlled conditions at the end of its life, making it a more sustainable alternative to conventional plastics.
Metal parts and nylon elements can be easily disassembled so that the materials can be recycled.

We recommend using a damp cloth or sponge with liquid detergent.
We advise against using a dishwasher for cleaning. Modern detergents and additives, as well as the high temperatures reached during the washing cycle, can cause irreversible damage to the product's surface.
