winged corkscrew- Liquid

The corkscrews consist of a body made of
AlkiPaper® biocomposite, decorated with a hand-applied
decal and containing a lever mechanism
made of chrome-plated zamak and rolled steel.

The decoration worn by Alessandro M. is a bold
excursion into the world of street graphics. A collage of
signs, writings and logos, into which various
elements of the designers' inspiration have been seamlessly incorporated.

The colour scheme is based on the decals that were
included in Japanese model kits and became cult objects for
young people in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The phosphorescent pigment creates a striking formal
play in the dark, reminiscent of X-rays, which
was used to draw Alessandro M.'s skeleton. The security
textures have prints showing the words
ALESSI and the name of the design studio, TEMP.

Zamak is a zinc-based alloy that does not release any substances into the environment during the production process that could cause pollution. The low
melting point of the alloy also allows for significant energy savings, which
helps to reduce the exploitation of natural resources at a later stage.

AlkiPaper® is a patented biocomposite based on paper, other raw materials
of natural origin, and functional components. Although it has similar processing properties
to plastic, it is designed to decompose under controlled conditions
at the end of its life, making it a more sustainable alternative to conventional
plastics.
Metal parts and nylon elements can be easily disassembled so that the
materials can be recycled.
